Privacy Policy

Who we are

HeroForm is a strength and fitness planning app made by Mohamed Shehata, an independent developer. In this policy, "we" means the developer and "you" means the person using the app.

What HeroForm keeps on your iPhone

To build and adjust your training plan, HeroForm stores the following in the app's private storage on your device:

• Profile answers: birth year, sex, height, weight, body fat, waist, goal, training experience, a short strength check, equipment, schedule, preferred units and app preferences.
• Health screening answers: your answers to the pre-exercise safety questions and any injuries you choose to work around. These only make your plan more conservative.
• Workouts: exercises, sets, weights, reps, rest times, swaps and personal records.
• Body measurements: weigh-ins and values from scale reports you import, such as weight, body fat, muscle mass, BMI and body water.

This data is not sent to us or to anyone else. We cannot see it.

Apple Health

If you allow it, HeroForm reads your latest weight, body fat percentage, lean body mass, height, waist circumference and BMI from Apple Health to set up your plan. If you turn on "Save to Apple Health", HeroForm writes your finished strength workouts to Apple Health.

• Health data is used only inside the app, for your plan and progress.
• It is never used for advertising, never sold and never shared with third parties.
• It is not stored in iCloud by HeroForm or sent to any server.

You can change or remove HeroForm's access at any time in the Health app under Sharing → Apps → HeroForm.

Scale reports, camera and photos

When you import a scale report as a photo, screenshot, PDF or paper scan, HeroForm reads the text on your iPhone using Apple's built-in text recognition. Nothing is uploaded. The image or file itself is not kept; only the numbers you check and save are stored. The camera is used only when you choose to scan a paper report.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, HeroForm schedules a reminder on your iPhone when a rest timer ends. These are local notifications; no notification server is involved.

What we collect

Nothing. HeroForm contains no analytics, ad-network or tracking code, and it does not connect to any server run by us. It may suggest HeroFrame, our other app. Tapping that opens HeroFrame or Apple’s App Store and passes only which screen the suggestion was on, nothing about you.

Information Apple shares with developers

Apple may provide us with anonymous, aggregated download and usage statistics, and crash reports from people who have agreed to share them with app developers in their iPhone settings. If you join a TestFlight beta, Apple shares your name, the email you were invited with, crash reports and any feedback you choose to send. Apple's handling of this information is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Your choices

• Export: Settings → Export all data creates a copy of your profile answers that you can save or share.
• Delete: Settings → Delete all my data removes your plan, workouts, measurements and answers from your iPhone. Deleting the app also removes all of its data.
• Apple Health: workouts already saved to Apple Health stay there until you delete them in the Health app.

Children

HeroForm is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and the app itself does not send any information to us.

Changes to this policy

If HeroForm starts handling data differently, for example by adding optional iCloud sync, we will update this page and change the effective date above before that version of the app is released.

This website

This website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking scripts, and every file it needs is served from the same site. Like any web host, our host Netlify processes standard server logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver the site and keep it secure.
